Millions more dollars for clean meat

The clean meat industry just keeps getting bigger, with millions more dollars this week pouring in to create the latest venture focused on producing meat from animal cells rather than animal slaughter.
Is clean meat the future of meat? I discuss just that on this CBS station this week. As well, Meat Packing Journal this month endorsed the book Clean Meat, editorializing that it “without reservation recommends” Clean Meat as “your guide to the clean meat movement.”
Clean meat’s not yet on the market, but in the meantime, there’s an easy way to help reduce your food-print. Two reports this week suggest that eating less meat is the easiest way to make an impact. One report on Salon suggests that the only way to avert catastrophic climate change is to halve humanity’s meat and dairy production. Another in the LA Times concludes that by switching to a vegan diet, American could feed another 390 million people.
Have a nice weekend,
Paul
